IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announced the winners International essay competition

Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announced the results of the International Essay Competition on the topic “The importance of international humanitarian law in maintaining peace and security on the planet”, carried out university among students of higher educational institutions of the countries Central Asia.

According to the results of the competition, the top three first place winners included: Merdan Charyev, student at the International University Humanities and Development, Nurana Rejepgulyeva, student Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, as well as a student of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K. Dikambaev Adele Raimkulova.

Five participants won second places, two of which our universities presented - State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after M. Garryev and IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs Turkmenistan. Three more winners are students of the Tajik national university, Kazakh national Al-Farabi University and World University economics and diplomacy (Uzbekistan).

8 third places were awarded to students of Turkmen State Institute of Finance, State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Turkmenistan, TSU named after. Magtymguly, International University of Humanities and Development, IIR MFA Turkmenistan. One winner in this category is a student Tajik National University.

As a result of the competition, 30 students received incentive places. When evaluating works of authorship by an independent jury, they took into account knowledge in the field of international humanitarian law, originality of the idea, compliance of the content of the work with the stated the topic of the competition and the quality of presentation.

The competition was held with the aim of popularizing and disseminating knowledge of the fundamental principles of IHL among young people Central Asian countries.

The winners of the competition will be awarded diplomas and memorable gifts as part of the awards ceremony, which will take place at the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on May 8.
