Tennessee Treasury's Unclaimed Property Division generic

The Tennessee Department of Treasury's Unclaimed Property Division will be at the Chattanooga Taco Festival to help get residents in the Volunteer State missing money.

The Unclaimed Property Division will be at the festival at Camp Jordan in East Ridge on May 4-5.

The state treasury department says Tennesseans have found hundreds, and even thousands of dollars, in missing money at past events.

Treasury department officials say there’s $6.1 million waiting to be claimed in Hamilton County and the surrounding 10 counties.

The following are the total amounts available to claim in each county:

  • Bledsoe County: $44,234
  • Bradley County: $705,669
  • Hamilton County: $3,912,659
  • Marion County: $155,928
  • McMinn County: $571,750
  • Meigs County: $40,464
  • Monroe County: $215,000
  • Polk County: $62,271
  • Rhea County: $251,410
  • Sequatchie County: $134,714

Chattanooga Taco Festival attendees are encouraged to stop by the Unclaimed Property Division's booth, where they can search online for missing money.

If property is found, the owner can file a claim at the booth, and Division representatives will be on-hand to answer any questions about the claim.

Unclaimed Property Division representatives will be at the festival on Saturday from 11:00am to 7:00pm and on Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm.

If you can’t make it to the Chattanooga Taco Bell, you can check to see if you have money with your name on by visiting the Unclaimed Property Division online.
