This weekend, local artists from all over Wyoming County and around are sharing their work for the second annual Wyoming County Arts and Artists Tour.

55 local artists are at 29 venues across the county showing off their talent to the community.

The tour features art of many mediums and Creekside Gardens is hosting an oil painter and a luxury bird house maker.

“I make these whimsical, kind of out there bird houses that are built to actually be used but a majority of them never get outside," said Vinnie Quattrocchi.

Creekside says they love supporting and featuring the arts so the tour shows the talent of the area.

“Exposure to these artists who live here. It’s really interesting, here they are. For a lot of people, it brings awareness to them and what they do and how much talent is in the area," said co-owner Sherri Kukuchka.

They are also hosting a mini art workshop in addition.

Just a mile away, the Belhana Glass Studio hosted 3 glass artists.

Renee Sands was giving demonstrations to those on the tour.

“This is going to be a sea turtle," said Sands as she worked. "Right now I’ve got the body, I’ll pull the legs out. I’m shaping the head right now.”

She say these demonstrations show how much dedication art really takes.

“There is a lot of training, a lot of effort and a lot of heart that goes into making this stuff," said Sands.

This was put on by the North Branch Art Trail who says arts make a big impact.

“I just had a hunch that there were that had something to say and we found them and so it’s incredible," said director Dan Tompkins.

The artists will be out again tomorrow from 10-4 and you can find the trail guide here.
